West Seattle
Garden Club

Since 1929
We get together regularly to share our love and knowledge of gardening in the Pacific Northwest.
Interesting field trips are scheduled throughout the year, such as visits to plant nurseries, parks, and gardens.
We fund an annual landscape/horticulture scholarship at South Seattle College.
Our club belongs to the Greater Seattle District of Garden Clubs and the Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs, which offer additional activities.

Meetings

We meet September through May, usually the fourth Friday (see Schedule page for dates), at Daystar Retirement Village. We gather at 10:00 a.m. for coffee and treats; the business meeting and morning activities begin at 10:30. At noon we break for a brown-bag lunch, with dessert provided, reconvening at 12:45 for the afternoon program. We're out the door by 2:00.

Each meeting includes exhibits of horticultural specimens and floral arrangements, plus an educational program given by a member. Following the lunch break, there is an hour-long presentation by a guest speaker.
